Not a good alternative? You watched a bad Bulldogs team instead of a bad Canadiens team. |

When half your roster is barely of drinking age then you have to expect a rough season.
These were boys playing against men and the majority of them in their first pro year.
I'm willing to give them more than 10 games to break their cherries. |

Badly outshot and pinned in their zone for most of the game? Sounds like the Canadiens to me... but I digress. The Bulldogs are the second youngest team in the AHL, so I sort of expected this to happen.
Oh well. Only one more season until we can see Galchenyuk in action. |

the game itself was beyond brutal. But even if it had been great, it wouldn't have made a difference. the whole idea was to get closer to something we all missed, but this could never have brought us closer to it.
It was the equivalent of wanting to see the next Roger Federer and ending up at a match between two low ranking women.
The AHL may be the next best North American Hockey League, but it's such a far cry from NHL hockey. |

So you don't think women are as good as men is what you're saying ? |

Yes the game sucked, but knowing there are actual players who may help in 2-3 years is nice for a change.
Would you prefer a team of career AHLers that make the Bulldogs good but have nothing to contribute to the Habs eventually. The Oilers have been last for a few years now, but I'd take that potential anyday of the youth. |

It's the AHL, you never know what you're going to get. I've been to a few bad ones but to a few good ones.
The best alternative is junior hockey anyways. |
